Subluxations can occur at any time in your life. The first subluxation can occur inside the mother’s womb. The following is a list of some of the possibilities that can subluxate the spine and skull.
After viewing this list it becomes obvious that there are many common daily occurrences that can cause subluxations. Unless you’re aware that accidents can cause subluxations to occur, many accidents are considered insignificant. If any of the above have caused a subluxation the health of the individual starts to suffer. It may be a series of minor incidents to the same area that eventually cause the vertebrae or skull to be moved out of place enough to cause noticeable symptoms.
The blood supply to the organs and extremities can be interfered with because of subluxations. This decreases the amount of nutrients reaching their destination and the amount of toxins being eliminated is lessened.This results in unhealthy new cells being formed. When enough new cells are formed in an unhealthy state the disease process starts to manifest. Signs of decreased blood supply are: dry skin, dry hair, cold extremities, brittle fingernails, fungal infections, and lack of pink color under the nails.
When the nerve supply to the various organs and tissues is interrupted, pain or malfunction in the distribution of that nerve is experienced. If a particular organ is not functioning properly, look to the nerve supply first when evaluating the causes. If there’s a pain you must always examine the spine first to determine if that’s where it’s coming from. The nerve supply is so crucial to the function of everything in the body right down to the cells of the immune system, that it cannot be ignored in the treatment of any condition.
One of the main causes of FM/CFS is Free Radical damage. Free Radical formation is so important, yet so few people understand its significance. It has been considered an esoteric idea that is difficult to understand. To understand what a Free Radical is, first we must understand what a molecule is.
A molecule is a stable configuration of atomic nuclei and electrons bound together by electrostatic and electromagnetic forces. It is the simplest structural unit that displays the characteristic physical and chemical properties of a compound. In other words, a molecule is a very small complete particle which when joined with other similar molecules from a specific substance.
A molecule has a pair of negatively charged electrons that orbit around the nuclei. These electrons can get damaged by external forces and break off leaving an unstable molecule called a free radical. These damaged molecules will steal an electron from another molecule or atom, thus starting a chain reaction of stealing electrons from other molecules. The molecule then becomes positively charged and is capable of attracting negatively charged electrons away from other cellular sites. The most susceptible are the electron rick DNA molecules.
Loss of an electron can damage the cell and alter its ability to perform its special function and reproduce itself normally. Think of these paired electrons as being a couple that, like humans, do not want to be alone. They hate being alone so much they are willing to take any electron, (any one from anywhere), to become a pair again. A free radical can be described as a free wheeling loose living bachelor searching the field for a partner, and willing to break up other pairs to get a mate.
Molecules are damaged by exterior forces such as: heat, chemicals, and high vibration. These forces can break off the electrons producing free radicals.
Exposure to toxic substances in the air, water, and in the food we ingest produce free radicals.
For example: An old wooden sailboat is out on the rough seas with an iron cannon chained to its deck. The force of the rough seas breaks the chains on the cannon and it starts banging around inside the wooden boat smashing everything it comes in contact with. This is what a Free Radical is like inside the body.
The increased production of free radicals decreases intercellular function and intercellular communication is inhibited, resulting in damaged cells. These cells die off at an accelerated rate.
Dark field microscope examination of the blood reveals Free Radicals as damaged cells. The blood cells appear to have little chunks or bites out of the side of the cells. These damaged red blood cells look like bottle caps. The cells are distorted, mutilated, and they do not function properly or reproduce well. The reproduction of these mutilated or mutant cells is eventually what grows into cancer cells (Normal cells gone berserk).
The amount of Free Radicals circulating in the body determines how fast the aging process occurs. The more Free Radical damage, the faster the aging process progresses. Notice that people who have smoked heavily for a long time have premature wrinkling of the skin, deep lines around the mouth, sagging areas around the eyes, turkey chins, and appear to be far older than they really are. As free radicals accumulate and proliferate, health will deteriorate.
There is extensive scientific literature concerning the hazardous effects of direct microwave radiation on living systems. Technically produced microwaves are based on the principle of alternating current. Atoms, molecules, and cells hit by this hard electromagnetic radiation are forced to reverse polarity 100 billion times a second. There are no atoms, molecules or cells of any organic system able to withstand such a violent, destructive power for any extended period of time, not even in a low energy range, without significant Free Radical Damage.
Although microwave cooking is the fastest and easiest way to cook or heat up a meal, it is also the fastest and easiest way to destroy a meal. This destruction occurs due to the powerful input of about 1,000 watts into the food.
Microwave radiation results in destruction and deformation of the molecules of foods and then forms new, unnatural compounds (called radiolytic compounds). Structures of the molecules are torn apart and forcefully deformed, resulting in impared food quality. The electrons are forcibly broken away from the molecules producing Free Radicals. The cells are actually broken apart because of the extreme forces of the microwaves thereby, neutralizing the electrical potentials between the outer and inner prey for viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms.
Dr. Hans hertel is a scientist, who was alarmed at the lack of purity and naturalness in the many pursuits of modern mankind. He did a study in Switzerland with eight individuals and himself, all who were strict macrobiotic-diet participants (a very healthy Japanese method of eating, that is especially beneficial for cancer patients). These participants were housed at the same hotel environment for eight weeks. There was no smoking, no alcohol, and no sex (too bad). There was one Canadian, one American, and six Europeans ranging in age from 20 to 4. Blood samples were taken from each of the volunteers, immediately before eating and then taken again after eating the microwaved foods.
Significant changes were discovered in the blood of the participants following the consumption of the microwaved foods. These changes included a decrease in hemoglobin values and cholesterol values, especially the HDL (good cholesterol). Lymphocytes (white blood cells) showed a more distinct short-term decrease following intake of microwaved foods than after the intake of all other variants. The indicators pointed away from robust health and towards a degeneration that parallels the kind of physiological degeneration that is typical of the beginnings of chronic and metabolic diseases. This leads to conditions such as the two biggest killers of all – cancer and heart disease.
The results of the blood tests were consistently at the lower limits of normal in those who were tested following the eating of the microwaved samples. These results show anemic tendencies. The situation became even more pronounced in the second month of the study and in those decreasing blood values there was a corresponding increase in negative cholesterol (LDL) values.
Using microwave ovens appears to be contraindicated and questions regarding its safety exists even at low temperatures. The microwave industry only had to prove that the dangerous microwaves could be contained within the oven and not escape to the surrounding area where radiation could do damage to people. No thought was given to the possibility that the nutrients could be altered to be detrimental to ones’ health.
Many people whose bodies are already stressed to the limit by junk food, pollution, pervasive harmful chemicals, depleted soils, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and strong electromagnetic fields, may be placing the proverbial straw on the camel’s back by using the microwave oven.
The high electromagnetic frequency of the microwave damages the molecule in such a way that electrons are broken off leaving it an unstable state called a Free Radical. We already know the harmful effects of Free Radicals.
The microwave oven is a commonly used appliance, but it produces massive amounts of Free Radicals from everything that it heats up.
Even heating up water produces Free Radicals.
The high vibrations of the microwaves destroy the electron bonds of the molecule. This is what produces the heat and cause the extensive Free Radical damage.

The old experts say it can be genetics, ethnic background, gender, geographical location, or stress. The new research addresses the factors that we can do something about. The main cause of accelerated aging is a decrease in the nerve and blood supply to the brain. Decreased nerve and blood supply to the brain leads to an inability of the body to function properly. Organs begin to malfunction, hormone secretions slow down, and body parts wear out. Also, the immune system is not as effective and digestion and assimilation of nutrients is less efficient.
Consequently, degenerative conditions start to appear, such as arthritis, heart and stroke conditions, high blood pressure,and adult onset diabetes. Conditions such as: Alzheimers, senility, cancers, wrinkled skin, multiple areas of pain and stiffness, chronic fatigue, memory loss, irritability, and depression all start to appear. All of these conditions are a result of the interference of the brain’s ability to communicate to the rest of the body.
A medical doctor would give you drugs for the symptoms. Their treatment with drugs may go on indefinitely, because the drugs don’t cure the problem.They only prolong it. The misuse of chemicals extends your problem, never curing it, only treating. Eventually the drugs cause other problems for which you will be given additional drugs. These drugs also cause nutritional deficiencies.
The Chiropractors approach is different. He/she will help you find the causes of your problem, educate you as to what can be done about it, and coach you on how to correct it. The treatment protocol we use, insists first that you take responsibility for your own health. It is your responsibility to find out why you have a certain condition, and to learn as much as you can about it. Secondly, you need to get a knowledgeable coach to guide you in the right direction. Not all Chiropractors have the same approach. Some specialize in correcting the subluxations in the spine; others include nutritional and other natural healing principles in their practice.
When the vertebrae of the neck become misaligned it decreases the size of the holes between the vertebrae, where the nerves come through. This (pinching type action) causes pressure on the nerves and on the blood vessels.
Also, this decreases the nerve supply and blood supply to the brain, which causes malfunction, pain, and accelerates the aging process. Inorder to achieve success in any health program, an analysis of the spine and skull is of vital importance to determine if corrections are necessary. Only Chiropractors are adequately trained in the detection and correction of subluxations in the spine.
The following secondary causative factors exacerbate, and further complicate, the decreased blood and nerve supply to the brain.
The amount of toxins that the average person consumes is outrageous. Almost everyone consumes on a daily basis: coffee, pop, diet pop, alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate bars, candies, hydrogenated fats, white flour, white sugar, and aspartame. The proliferation of chemicals in our food also contributes enormously to its toxic level. There are toxins in our water (chlorine and fluoride), in the air, and in our food. There are many toxic ingredients in our household products, personal care products and in the materials that are used to build and furnish our homes. It is our responsibility to find out what they are and how to avoid them. The rate at which we age is in direct proportion to the amount of toxins ingested compared to our ability to eliminate them.

Free Radicals are caused by, high heat, high vibration, and chemicals. Free Radicals are damaged cells in the body that set up a chain rection of destroying other cells. This destruction has an affinity for the DNA and RNA of our cells. This interferes with out body’s ability to reproduce healthy cells. When Free Radical damage continues to proliferate, the formation of new cells is altered, producing mutant or mutilated cells. Mutant cells eventually produce cancer cells. There are substances called antioxidants that can prevent, and even reverse Free Radical damage. A combination of: Vit. A, Vit. E, Vit. C, Selenium, Zinc, Grape Seed Extract, Ozonated water, and Microhydrin will help counteract free radical damage.
I discovered in Dr. Batmanghelidj’s book, “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” that drinking more water can eliminate many of the degenerative conditions of FM/CFS and aging. Dr. Batmanghelidj says, “You Are Not Sick, You Are Thirsty.” Water, water, and more water. Each and every function of the body is monitored and regulated by the flow of water. It is water that activates your body systems, and the lack of water causes a variety of “thirst” responses that we call disease.
The human body is 80% water. The brain is 90% water. “The rest of the body is $3.47 worth of chemicals.” (A quote from a friend named Scotty). The entire emphasis of the medical profession, drug companies, and their corresponding research has been on the “$3.47 worth of chemicals.” It makes much more sense to first ensure the body’s needs for water are adequately met. Few people replace it adequately. We take water for granted and consequently don’t drink enough of it on a consistent basis.
“Chronic, unintentional dehydration is the root cause of most of our major serious diseases and accelerated aging conditions.” The simple truth is that dehydration can cause disease.
Everyone knows that water is good for them, and everyone has heard that they should drink eight glasses of water a day. But only a very few of us do. I was included in those who did not drink anywhere near the amount of water needed to replenish even the water that is expelled through the simple mechanism of breathing. It wasn’t until I read “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” By Dr. Batmanghelidj, M.D. that I realized I had been chronically dehydrated all my life. This was the reason that I had not totally reached my optimum level of health. Chiropractic had saved my life and those of thousands of my patients but I was still not at the level of health that I wanted to be. In the last two years of research for my books on FM/CFS and aging I have read literally many hundreds of books and health-related articles. I can honestly say there are only four or five books that have had a serious impact on the direction of my thinking and that “Dr. Batman’s” (as his name was affectionately abbreviated) is certainly one of them. It is a must read for any health practitioner or patient who realizes that they must take responsibility for their own health.
It is assumed that because water is freely available and we don’t have to pay for it, that it’s not that important. We have been convinced to substitute water with something that we have to pay for. It was not as profitable for restaurants, convenience stores, supermarkets, and of course the companies that manufacture all of the other commercial drinks to promote water. Recently most of these manufactures have explained their lines to include bottled water.
The current medical model considers conditions such as: hypertension, asthma, peptic ulcer, allergies, and arthritis as conditions that are not generally cured but treated on a continuing basis for the life of the person. Inhalers, antacids, painkillers and other medications are constant companions of the afflicted and the victim remains dependent, never cured, but only treated. The cause of the condition (dehydration) is never addressed. Almost every condition resulting from dehydration is attacked with medications or combinations of medications. These conditions are perpetuated and the symptoms of dehydration continue.
The medical profession is routinely treating the symptoms, signs and complications of dehydration in the bod with toxic chemicals. However, all you need is water, more water. They do not want you to know, that in most health problems “you’re only thirsty, not sick”.
Most people don’t drink enough water and most of us, especially the elderly, don’t realize it. Thirst itself is not a good indicator of hydration. When you’re thirsty you are already dehydrated. As we age, the ability to recognize thirst diminishes, therefore a routine must be established to receive the required amount of water or you will dry up and age quickly.
Thirsty cells do not perform at optimum level. Dehydration triggers all kinds of inappropriate bodily responses.
In prolonged dehydration the brains cells begin to shrink and their ability to function is severely altered. “The primary cause of Alzheimer’s Disease is chronic dehydration of the body”. Aluminum toxicity is a secondary complication of the dehydration (many of the commonly use antacids contain aluminum).
When we starve the body’s cells of water, they start to complain and many reactions appear. The blood vessels start to constrict and joints become dry and painful. Histamine is also secreted for “drought management”. This produces the classic allergy and asthma symptoms. When histamine becomes active it initiates the system that promotes water intake. If antihistamines are taken to handle the symptoms, then the state of chronic dehydration is created. Stomach pain is almost always, a sign that the body is suffering from severe thirst. If this heartburn is treated with antacids it will invariably lead to ulcer formations.
1. Pain symptoms are always treated with painkillers, which actually interfere with the body’s mechanism for promoting water intake. This is why painkillers have to be taken on a continual basis. The cause of the pain, i.e. dehydration, has not been corrected.
2. Stomach pains are treated with antacids, which again interfere with stimulating the body to drink more water.
3. Allergies and asthma are treated with antihistamines, which totally confuse the body’s water regulation system and perpetuate these conditions.
4. Heart conditions and high blood pressure are treated with blood thinners (such as aspirin) which interfere with water distribution, and which ultimately make these conditions worse.
“Water is most probably the only effective substance to cure these symptoms. After all, water and only water is what the body wants, needs, and is calling for”.
We have been taught to read our thirst signals incorrectly. Instead of drinking water, we eat something, or drink pop, or coffee or tea, or have a beer. Each of these adds to the dehydration problem. Caffeine and alcohol actually make dehydration worse because they are diuretics and reduce the body’s water content.
In today’s culture, with our current social customs, we consume enormous quantities of diuretic soft drinks, diet pops, diuretic coffee and tea, and dehydrating alcoholic beverages. This reinforces chronic dehydration as the number one health menace in our society.
When you are stiff and have pain in a number of areas in the body it is because you are dehydrated and histamine has been secreted to rectify the dehydrated state. The fuction of histamines is to control the water levels in the body. Histamine causes pain when it comes across pain sensing nerves in the body. What do most people do for pain? They take aspirin, ant-acids, and anti-histamines all of them interfering with the body’s ability to regulate water levels. All you really need is more water, lots of water, on a regular basis.
